Sharp Teeth Reading

  • Solo Bar 200 Roy Street Seattle, WA, 98109 United States (map)

"Times change but the people do not in the ways that are important. They cling to some old beliefs and forget others. So the forgotten beliefs-- they must change, too."

A man-eating bear terrorizes a remote coal-mining town consigned to the margins of history. When famed hunter and wildlife activist Yuri Trush fails to slay the monster, a young botanist must take up arms and lead a one-woman expedition into the forest to save her people.

Sharp Teeth is a contemporary reimagining of Eastern European folklore by local playwright Julia Nardin and composer Michael Owcharuk. Join our production team, helmed by director Kathryn Stewart, for a preview reading of the first act, including musical arrangements, at Solo Bar on Monday, April 2nd, at 7:30pm.

(Vodka's at the bar.)
