fter a car accident, two sisters are left estranged -- Hana disappears to Japan in an effort to start over. Yuki, now in a wheelchair, picks up the pieces and moves on in her new life. In Japan, Hana finds she doesn't quite fit in despite her heritage, and she finds herself relating to the story of a group of young samurai boys who met a tragic demise, known as The White Tiger.

bout the playwright: Keiko Green is a playwright and performer based in Seattle. She received her BFA in Experimental Theater from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Recent writing work includes: Nadeshiko (Sound Theatre Company), which was an Honorable Mention on the national 2017 Kilroys List and named Outstanding New Play at the 2017 Gregory Awards; the book and lyrics for the full-length musical Bunnies; and the co-written full-length play Puny Humans (both at Annex Theatre). She was a member of the 2015-2017 Seattle Repertory Theatre Writers Group. As an actor, she was a member of ACT Theatre's 2016 Core Acting Company. She has performed at the Seattle Repertory Theatre, ACT Theatre, and Seattle Shakespeare Company among others.

Every month, we present a free reading and discussion of a play as part of our Pipeline series, which is aimed at fostering a community among artists and audiences. Join us for a relaxing evening at Solo Bar to hear our Company read a raw play fresh off the page.

Admission is free; no tickets or reservations required. Donations are gladly accepted.

Solo Bar is in the heart of lower Queen Anne close to Seattle Rep, and Pacific Northwest Ballet. Street parking is available.
